Lucy Saxon is The Rani?

i think Lucy Saxon is The Rani she is just as blood thirsty as The Master, no human raised person would like the destruction of the human race, but after a year of putting up with him she took her chance and killed him, my thought is that she took the ring because it was her version of a chameleon watch because not many women have pocket watches, my theory is the master some how got memories but not her time lord genes she need it to return, The Master kept it hostage to keep her from killing him - TheHoBo 11:54, August 19, 2008

Im human rased and would enjoy it

I think it would fit the story very nicely if Lucy was the Rani, but I sometimes think too much about these things as I was convinced that Lady C deSouza from POTD was gonna be Ivy Wildthyme but she turned out not to be.

The ring does seem very much like the Chameleon Arc-Fobwatch and was significant enough to warrant a scene of a hand with painted red nails picking up the ring from the Master's pyre. There was a lot of speculation that it could have been Donna's hand. (PS on a random note: whatever happened to the Sonic Pen from Partners in Crime...didn't it go in the bin that Sylvia had to go in for the car keys??? might be significant!)I think that hand was Lucy's.

At the end of Series 3, I remember distinctly hearing RTD commenting that the hand that retrieved the ring from the funeral pyre is the hand of the Rani, but he has been known to mislead fans to protect the story.

I believe dramatically it would explain why Lucy participated in the murders, why she shot him, why the Master didn't regenerate and give the Doctor a double enemy to battle in his final scenes as Ten. Lucy should be THe Rani!!!!

People seem to forget that Lucy has a known human farther! As for her blood thirst, ever wondered that she might have been mentally unstable, or suffered abuse as a child? "Reasons Unknown"

Why does it say the Master abused her for "reasons unknown". I think it is fairly obvious that he did this because he is an insane weirdo who wants to conquer and destroy all. He had a wife from every country and we see him flirt with his massager. He was originally a nice man when he was required to be nice to Lucy, then when he began to rule the world, the Harold Saxon he had become was abolished and he became the raw evil of the Master once more. The impression I got was that Lucy was hypnotised by the Master the whole time. The glazed look to her in every scene and her shooting him immediately after his psychic network stopped broadcasting its signal suggest that she was under the same spell as the rest of the world.

Lucy crossing her fingers?

This line: "When "Harold Saxon" states the government told Britain nothing about the exsitence of alien life, Lucy can briefly be seen crossing two of her fingers, forming the 'lie' sign."

In the episode I always presumed the crossing of her fingers was not forming the "lie sign" but when someone one crosses hoping for good luck, my presuming that she was crossing her fingers in hope that the British Public bought (believed) his speech. I might be wrong but why would she be crossing her fingers forming the lie sign when Saxon was speaking the truth? (in this case in drwho the government told Britian nothing about the existence of alien life, Dalek and Cybermen invasions were put down to drugs remember) ░▒▓ Alex | Talk ▓▒░ 01:32, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
