Stahlman's ooze was a substance released from the ground as a byproduct of the drilling conducted by Professor Stahlman. By some accounts, it was Yssgaroth taint from the portal to Spiral Yssgaroth at the Earth's core. (PROSE: Interference, The Book of the War, AUDIO: The Adolescence of Time)
It was a green, viscous substance which originated under the Earth's crust and defied analysis. When it came into contact with human flesh, it altered them in both a physical and psychological manner, making them crave heat and turning them almost rabid. These humans were called Primords, (TV: Inferno) a type of Mal'akh. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
The Glasshouse was later known to have held a sample of the ooze for study. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy) It was also used to transform a Doberman Pinscher into a creature known as the Stalker. (PROSE: The Scales of Injustice)
Sometime later, four members of a rock band found some of the goo on the abandoned drill site. Horrified by their transformation into Primords, they soon grew accustomed to their new bodies. (COMIC: Untitled)
General Sharp sought to have the ooze weaponised and employed Michael to research it. Liz Shaw became a Primord whilst keeping her human form as a result of the suppressants that they had produced and attempted to use the ooze to turn the human race into Primords too. However, she was stopped and cured whilst Sharp was killed by Michael. (AUDIO: Primord)
When Dracula attempted to reach the Caldera by mining deep into the Earth's crust and history, Mina Harker saw the "blood of the Earth" to be a green pus. (PROSE: A Bloody (And Public) Domaine)
