Did this battle still take place in the Doctor Who timeline or was it erased by the cracks in time? Amy, Rory, Clara and Bill have all been shown to not know what Daleks are when meeting them. This would suggest that the cracks in time removed this event but that is contradicted by the fact that people still seem to be aware of what the Cybermen are. The news reporter on the TV in the mausoleum in the Series 8 finale refers to them by name and says that they "now have the ability to fly" which insinuates that humanity still remembers the Cybermen. If all the cybermen that transported through void space from Pete's World and so did the void ship holding the Daleks were sucked back into void space because they were soaked in "void stuff". Why did the newly converted Cyberman also get sucked in?

This is NOT an episode of the series so why is the article formatted like one? And does the person who wrote this know how or when to use the shift key? I'm changing this to a temporary redirect to "Doomsday" until I or someone else can fix this. --Freethinker1of1 00:06, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Fixed and made into a proper article on the battle. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 08:56, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Name change

Is having The at the start of 'Battle of Canary Wharf' grammatically correct? I think, in terms of grammar 'Battle of Canary Wharf' is correct, adding a The would mean changing it to 'The Battle for Canary Wharf'. --Tangerineduel 17:03, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Tangerineduel is right. It sounds like an episode, with the "the". The evil dudeArnie 20:57, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Heavy Cybermen

It mentions that the Cybermen combated the Daleks with heavily-armed Cybermen. Where was it confirmed?

Dating

Is the 2007 date for this correct? It's 2006 in the Torchwood Institute article, and according to The New World Gwen joined Torchwood in October 2006. Ausir(talk) <staff/> 11:16, July 9, 2011 (UTC)

Given that this involves more than just this page, probably best to continue here: Forum:Battle of Canary Wharf/Torchwood series 1 dating. Ausir(talk) <staff/> 11:22, July 9, 2011 (UTC)

essentially the Doctor and Pete versus everyone else???

....Nope. The Daleks wanted to destroy both the earth and the Cybermen. The Cybermen were fighting the Daleks and wanted to take over the world. Torchwood wanted to stop the Caleks and Cybermen.
