There has been a Doctor Who fan group in Derby certainly since the early 1980's, when they used to meet up to watch videos and discuss the programme. At that time they met at Nunsfield House in Alvaston, Derby. The Whoovers, the present group, were created in 1999 and meet every first Friday of the month at 19.30 at the QUAD, Market Place, Cathedral Quarter, Derby DE1 3AS.
