History[[edit] | [edit source]]
In 1215, Lincoln was governed by Sheriff Nicholaa de la Haye, where she cared for her granddaughter, Idonea de Camville. She had to defend the city from bandits led by the Monk, who was attempting to interfere with history for his own ends, and then from a siege by Prince Henry of France. The Monk's plans were scuppered when the French siege began, however the siege would last for a year, when it was relieved by an army led by John's son. (AUDIO: The Outlaws)
Lincoln was the headquarters of the Parliament's Witch-Pricker John Kincaid. There he hired deserters to accompany him to Tranchard's Fell in the 1650s. (AUDIO: The Witch from the Well)
Jenny Flint's friend Mary worked as a housekeeper "to a lord our near Lincoln". Jenny offered Harry the chance to go and work as a kitchen boy there. (PROSE: Devil in the Smoke)
During the 2000s, Lincoln was one of the main cities affected by the terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of over 1000 people within the UK. At least 15 people were killed across Lincoln and Hull. (AUDIO: The Longest Night)
