Jondar was a rebel prisoner on Varos. His torture was broadcast live to the public from the Punishment Dome, where he was chained. Moments before his execution, the TARDIS arrived in the Dome and he was rescued by the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown. Jondar was reunited with his wife, Areta.
