Charlottenlund was a settlement built by the Laima. After ten thousand years, the settlement was abandoned and left to ruin when the Laima left N-Space. The builders of Connall apparently visited the ruins and took remnants to their settlement.
The ruins became a tourist site, although mainly for the Giants' Drop, one of the Five Wonders of the World. When Trion had visitors, most of them would visit the Drop. A Central Museum was built there, where Juras Maateh and Vislor Turlough were reunited. (PROSE: Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma)
