The Pandora Bolt was a two-part security system designed to keep people away through psionic image projection, unleashing fears and amplifying paranoia.
The Eighth Doctor took it from Midge and Jim in 2020, hoping that he could use it to jump start the TARDIS. The device caused arguments and unrest in 107 Baker Street and scared the Doctor using a projection of his old and stranded self, but he stopped it by shorting it out.
The Twelfth Doctor later gave the Pandora Bolt to Jim and Midge for the Eighth Doctor to take. (AUDIO: Lost Property)
