Upper Boat Studios was a TV studio complex located in Upper Boat, Treforest Industrial Estate, Pontypridd, north west of Cardiff. It was the largest studio complex in Wales.

From 2006 until 2012, Upper Boat was home base for the Doctor Who franchise, as the BBC leased the studios in order to centralise production of Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

In April 2012, Doctor Who moved to Roath Lock. Its last day filming at Upper Boat was 11 May 2012.[1]
