Events
History of the Doctor Who Universe
- Herbert Wells' novel, The Time Machine, inspired by his adventures with the Doctor and Peri Brown on Karfel, is first published. (DW: Timelash) He may also have had some inspiration from his friend Theophilus Tolliver. (TVA: The Eternal Present)
- According to some accounts, the Doctor may have been part of the orchestra during the first Proms concert in London, playing a tuba. (DW: Music of the Spheres)
History of Doctor Who
- The Time Machine, by H. G. Wells, is first published. It is perhaps the work which has most inspired and influenced Doctor Who.
