Karen lived down the road from Paul and Jeremy's home. She moved into her home with Mark in late 2006. They also had several cats, Rowan, Scoobie, and later, Fang. She also looked after Fester Cat when Paul, Jeremy, and Panda went on holiday.
She attended Paul and Jeremy's Christmas party in 2006 with Mark, she visited them again a few weeks later, and she joined Paul's Book Club with Caroline and Jamie in 2008, but the club barely focused on books. One night, when the Book Club was at her home, Jeremy arrives, telling them that his father had died.
In 2013, Karen and Mark adopted a kitten called Fang. Karen came over to Jeremy's home to celebrate his 46th birthday a few weeks later. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)
