Big Brother was a Earth television show, likely originating around the turn of the 21st century.

Much later, during the time Satellite 5 was known as the "Game Station", it was remade by the Bad Wolf Corporation. It was similar to the original show although the losers were apparently disintegrated. The Doctor appeared on the show for a short time and escaped with fellow contestant Lynda Moss. (DW: Bad Wolf)
