Story notes
- This story tied-in to the Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons comic story We Will Destroy Unity City, as well as the conclusion and beginning of the Zero X comic stories Rock Snakes of Mars and The Stowaway respectvely.
Continuity
- The new Kaplan has been installed on Astra, repeating his vow to declare war on Earth unless his predecessor's killer is found. (COMIC: Assassination!)
- World Government forces are continuing to search Unity City for the murderer of the Astran leader. (COMIC: Zodiac Makes An Arrest, Army In House To House Search)
- Zero X has beaten the "jinx" afflicting it by returning from Mars. The first three attempts to explore the uncolonised regions of the planet all ended in disaster. (PROSE: 'Jinx Ship' Blasts Off For Mars)
- The Zero X mission was not plain sailing, however, as the excursion was lost in a magnetic storm for what seemed like an eternity. (PROSE: Zero X: Four Crew Missing)
- Cloudbase has been silent on its recent affairs. (PROSE: Get the Gunman!)
