Behind the scenes
Trinidad is an island in the Caribbean. Together with Tobago, it forms the nation Trinidad and Tobago.
T&T gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1962, less than a year before the events of Time and Relative. After this, they remained part of the Commonwealth, allowing for easier travel and migration to the UK than elsewhere.
