Clifford Rose (born 24 October 1929[1]-6 November 2021[2]) played Captain Rorvik in the Doctor Who television story Warriors' Gate and voiced Major Treptow in the Big Finish Productions audio story The Scapegoat.

He was also considered for the role of Orcini in Revelation of the Daleks. (TCH 41)

He shared his memories of Warriors' Gate on the 238th edition of Big Finish's charity podcast series Toby Hadoke's Who's Round and the documentary The Dreaming.

Career Highlights

He is best known for playing Gestapo officer Ludwig Kessler in Secret Army; the character later reappeared in the miniseries Kessler. He also played Dr Snell in several episodes of the spy drama Callan.

Later Life

In the months prior to his death, Clifford's family set up a Go Fund Me fundraising page to help him remain at his chosen care home[3]
