Toda Eiji was a Samurai and acolyte of Casper Knox. He was tasked with hunting the First Doctor, Barbara Wright, Ian Chesterton and Susan Foreman. He showed the Doctor and Barbara to Daimyo Takagi Mamoru. He kidnapped Susan after stealing the Doctor's TARDIS. He was killed by Mamoru after announcing that he had betrayed him to the Shogun.
