Nick was a scientist and the abusive boyfriend of Muriel Frost, a colonel under the employ of UNIT. They lived together in a flat in Middlesbrough.
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
By the late 1990s, Nick was in a troubled relationship with Muriel Frost. He would often start fights with her, openly calling her hurtful names, refusing to reciprocate her attempts to resolve their issues, and even though they had a seemingly good physical side to the relationship, at least according to Nick when he raised a previous instance of them "talking" to each other, he outright told her that he pictured other women whilst doing it. Despite all of this, Muriel loved Nick, despite the pain it caused.
After Muriel went through the rough experience of going into the mind of a deceased Nazi pilot that had been dredged up from the bottom of a river in Middlesbrough, she had asked Corporal Ives to drive her back to her flat. Inside, Nick incited another arugment with Muriel, this time revealing to her about how he pictured other people while having sex with her. This angered her, and she held a gun to his head. He goaded her into pulling the trigger, and while a part of her wanted to go through with it, she was interrupted by the telephone, being rung by Ives, who was watching this unfold from outside.
