"Supernature" and the "Child of Time" arc

Shouldn’t all the DWM stories from "Supernature" all the way up to "The Child of Time" all really be placed side by side with eachother? Beginning from "Supernature", the TARDIS begins absorbing different individuals from the places that the Doctor and Amy subsequently visit afterward, without there being any sort of break. 5.3 Factual correction

Shouldn’t “The Coming of the Teraphiles” be before Cold Blood/Hungry Earth as Amy still is ‘engaged’ to Rory.

I don't recall it being stated that Amy's engaged in the book, but it's certainly a dense enough novel that I might be missing it. Where is this stated? Schreibenheimer ☎ 17:53, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

Original intention shouldn't matter at all when considering when a story takes place. Moffat chose to swap The Curse of the Black Spot and Night Terrors and it would be counterintuitive to decide that his original intention is the correct one. Jack "BtR" Saxon ☎ 21:01, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Black Spot is literally re-tailored to fit in the first half of series 7. If we decided to place it in the latter half, then Kovarian's cameo would no longer make sense, nor would Avery and Toby showing up in A Good Man Goes to War. WaltK ☎ 21:44, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Imo broadcast order for tv stories should never under any circumstances be altered, especially in New Who. The only time I would ever consider this even being a conversation is for Season 25 and even then I still pretty firmly believe it should remain as release order.
