BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, is an organization that bestows awards for excellence in British film and television. In 2006, Doctor Who won a BAFTA award for Best Drama Series. Additionally, many people associated with Doctor Who and its spin-offs have won or been nominated for BAFTA awards, including Mary Wimbush, Ken Ledsham, Richard Stokes, and Andy Goddard.
