The Lost was a noncorporeal entity imprisoned in his own realm. He could assume a form from someone's recent memory, was capable of possession, and seemingly only spoke the truth. The Tenth Doctor speculated he was either an Eternal or one of the Endless.
The Doctor and Anya Kingdom encountered him before the Doctor traveled back in time to prevent their visit. (AUDIO: The Lost)
