Tartan

Tartan, also called plaid, was a type of pattern, famously linked to Scotland. [source needed]

The Sixth Doctor's coat featured patches of red tartan. (TVThe Twin Dilemma-Time and the Rani)

The Fourth Doctor wore a Clan Wallace tartan scarf during his encounter with the Zygons. (TV: Terror of the Zygons)
