Paisley (design)


Paisley was a design involving tear themed symbols, invented on ancient Persia and named after a Scottish town.[source needed]

The Seventh Doctor wore scarves and ties as well as bands on his cream Panama hat of paisley; done on scarlet (TV: Time and the Rani-The Greatest Show in the Galaxy) burgundy, (TV: Battlefield-Survival) or mustard and maroon. (TV: Dimensions in Time) He also wore a paisley banded white fedora (PROSE: White Darkness) that he had had made especially for him. (PROSE: First Frontier)
