Covert coat


A covert coat, also called a Crombie coat, was an overcoat worn for horse riding.

The Twelfth Doctor wore many covert coats done in navy blue with crimson lining, (TV: Deep Breath) black, (COMIC: The Eye of Torment) lapis blue, (COMIC: The Hyperion Empire) maroon, (COMIC: The Highgate Horror) black velvet, (TV: The Return of Doctor Mysterio [+]) and worn-out grey. (TV: Extremis [+])

Winston Churchill who was prime minister for Britain during World War 2 wore a covert coat in black; (TV: Victory of the Daleks) as did his parallel counterpart who was Holy Roman Emperor on River Song's World. (TV: The Wedding of River Song)
