The Tail of Decky Flamboon was a Doctor Who Adventures comic story featuring the Eleventh Doctor and Decky Flamboon.

It was Decky's final DWA appearance.

Summary

The Doctor returns Decky home to Sirus only to find the renegade Brancheerian Monty Punnions has sold out his planet to an invasion of silvery ants!

Plot

The Doctor materialises the TARDIS on Sirus, home planet of Decky Flamboon. The duo step out of the TARDIS and The Doctor seems happy about landing, but Decky points out that all the people as vanished. As soon as that is said, there is a great big fleet of spaceships, souring around Sirus, which Decky refers to as the Moons of Flamboon. The Doctor points out "silvery, anty, scary things" as they hide behind some rocks. The Doctor promises to Decky that he will stop the invasion and find his people. Soon, Monty Punnions finds the couple, and calls the Flamboons idiotic, despite being one himself. Monty reveals that he led the ant creatures to Sirus after they wanted Earth for its resources. The ants promised Monty "the empty planet and all the credits a lizard could want". Decky comes to the realisation that the lost coordinates of Sirus were a trail, made by Monty to lead the creatures to Sirus. Decky asks where everyone is, and Monty says that they must've picked up the signal and left because they were cowards and idiots. The Doctor smiles and mentions Decky's shape-shifting belt which he made himself. Monty snatches Decky's belt but before he can make himself bigger and stronger, the Doctor uses the sonic screwdriver on the belt and turns Monty into a giant ball. Decky hits the giant "Monty" ball with his tail, destroying all the ant creatures. After victory, Decky is upset and wonders where his people are. The Doctor says the Moons of Flamboon, and as they look up, they can see three moons, with words written on them. "WE", "ARE" and "HERE", seeming like a message to save them. The Doctor and Decky fly to Flamboon Moon 2, where the Doctor says goodbye to Decky.

Notes

  • While the Brancheerians' home planet is Sirus, it appears the nearby orbiting moons are home to the Flamboon clans.
