Smoking jacket

A smoking jacket was a form of jacket forged to wear when tabacco smoking.

The Third Doctor wore a smoking jacket of navy blue velvet with a shawl collar when he first met the Silurians during the Wenley Moor Affair, (TV: Doctor Who and the Silurians) when foiling General George Carrington's plan to frame alien ambassadors to justify war, (TV: The Ambassadors of Death) and when going to a parallel world and stopping Eric Stahlman's Inferno Project from destroying Earth. (TV: Inferno) He also wore wore a smoking jacket of rust orange velvet with frog buttons and a shawl collar when he first encounters Mark IV Daleks including a gold leader and Ogrons during the Time Paradox Incident, (TV: Day of the Daleks) during his first visit to Peladon and his first meeting with Alpha Centauri, (TV: The Curse of Peladon) and during the First Omega Crisis. (TV: The Three Doctors) He also wore a burgundy smoking jacket when braving the Game of Rassilon set up by President Borusa in his quest for immortality. (TV: The Five Doctors)

The Seventh Doctor tried the Third Doctor's rust smoking jacket before going for a silver grey safari jacket. (TV: Time and the Rani)

Jo Jones wore the Third Doctor's burgundy smoking jacket when reuniting with Clyde Langer on the Memory TARDIS. (TV: The Three Doctors)
