Logan was a lieutenant general of the Light Division in the British Army during the Crimean War. After his men were slaughtered by the Sontarans he assisted the Thirteenth Doctor. He then blew up the Sontaran ships after they agreed to retreat from the battle. (TV: War of the Sontarans)
