He played a fictionalised version of himself in the Doctor Who episode Fear Her.

Criminal conviction[[edit] | [edit source]]

In July 2024, Edwards pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children.[2] In response, the BBC proceeded to wipe Edwards' presence from their programme archives.

Fear Her was included in this purge, being removed from BBC iPlayer in July 2024,[3] with a BBC spokesperson confirming that it will be re-added at a later date with Edwards' lines re-dubbed by a different actor.[4]

A section that included footage of Edwards was also removed from the online compilation, Doctor Who Actors on Would I Lie to You? [+]Loading...["Doctor Who Actors on Would I Lie to You? (webcast)"].
