After capturing Izzy and Max, the Doctor turns the Focus over to the Toymaker who reveals that the device is part of a mirror called the Imagineum made long ago by alien alchemists. The Toymaker uses the Imagineum to make an evil duplicate of the Doctor. However, as the Doctor and his duplicate fight, the Doctor convinces the duplicate that the Toymaker is untrustworthy and ends their fight. The Doctor then uses the Imagineum to to create a duplicate of the Toymaker. The Toymaker and his double fight, causing them bother to disappear back into the Toymaker's home dimension. The Doctor then breaks the Imagineum's mirror and frees the real Stockbridge.

Summary

The Doctor lands in Stockbridge where he is quickly attacked by men who identify themselves as The Butcher, The Baker, and The Candlestick Maker. The Doctor is saved by Izzy Sinclair and Max Edison. The three of them soon discover that they are not in the real Stockbridge but in something the Doctor calls a "macro-dimensional pocket" created by the Celestial Toymaker who is looking for "the Focus," a small round device in Izzy's possession.

With things back to normal, the Doctor prepares to leave. He asks Max to join him but Max replies that while he would love to, there are some crop circles that he needs to investigate instead. The Doctor then asks Izzy to join him. She enthusiastically agrees and they enter the TARDIS and take off for their next adventure.

  • There is an Osirian grimoire in the TARDIS library, it tingles Izzy's fingers when she picks it up because it's alive. The Doctor apparently went through a great deal to collect that volume, commenting that izzy "has no idea how much trouble it was to get that".
