- 1912 - Preston Lockwood, who played Dojjen in DW: Snakedance, was born at Leyton, England.
- 1954 - Chris MacDonnell, who played Arnheim in DW: Dragonfire, was born at Redruth, Cornwall, England.
- 1965 - "Death of a Spy", Episode 3 of DW: The Myth Makers was first broadcast.
- 1979 - Graham Ashley, who played the Overseer in DW: The Underwater Menace, died.
- 1997 - Doctor Who creator Sydney Newman died from a heart attack in Toronto, Canada.
