Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

Edit warring

Blocking policy

You have not agreed to leave the page alone and discuss the matter on the talk page before changes are made, under the Tardis:blocking policy you can be blocked for around 2 hours if you continue to do this. Consider this your final warning. --Revan\Talk 22:06, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

I agree with Bone Cold here, it seems a bit unfair that just because he did not go to the talk page, he should get blocked. Other Users were part of the edit war. However, now he done the right thing and started a discussion. Mini-mitch\talk 22:13, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

Policy

I think there should be a minimum, but I think it should be something you bring up in the forums. Also, I think that the 4 edits in 36 hours is too long. It should be 4 in 24 hours or something similar.Mini-mitch\talk 22:33, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

Pic removal at The Doctor's TARDIS

As the editor who put up the several pictures at The Doctor's TARDIS#Door which you removed, I'm curious why you clearly didn't want them there. Did you not think they helped illustrate the subject meaningfully? I'm genuinely curious why you didn't like those additions to the article.

Thanks, Czech. This is why I voted against Skittles becoming a Sysop: I knew this would happen. He just doesn't have enough patience to handle the responsibility of being a Sysop. In regards to your question, I don't think the picutre "illustrated the subject meaningfully." Personally, I think you overdid it and placed too many images, additionally making a bunch of big ugly white gaps. I was trying to improve the page by taking out a couple of images removing the white spaces from the page. --Bold Clone 02:19, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

White spaces? Really? Hmmm, I didn't see anything like that on my screen. I wonder why you were getting that. Now that the images are back in their original place, any chance you could take a screen shot and show me? It might be a technical fault that needs to be addressed.

Repeating actions

...Right. This coming from the User who didn't go to a talk page and instead repeatedly reverted my edits instead of practicing what he preached. Hmm. Changes should be discussed. The article as it stands should be what we revet to in these cases. As shown in all your edits, you have disregard for all users so I blocked you while repairing the page. Feel free to make a suggestion for changes on the talk page here: Talk:The Doctor's TARDIS. ...and your changes were not discussed. What's more, you gave no rational, did you? I did. I was clearing up white spaces and improving the page. What were you doing? Ah, that's right. Reverting my improvements and calling it "repairs". We're coming at this from different angles. You think that stuff should be disscussed before we edit pages. That's just a bunch of red tape that kills ideas. I think that changes should be discussed after the page is edited. I made no changes, I reinstated the page in its original form. If you want to show your ideas, create a sandbox like most users have, here's a link [User:Bold Clone/Sandbox one]. Sigh...and as usual, you completely ignored me. You know, if my method was in operation (discussion after edits), then none of this would be happening. The two of us would be calmly discussing my changes on the TP, and we could compare the revisions. Instead...you essentially shouted me down and banned me for vandalism. I don't see why you're so resistant to anyideas not your own. My idea allows for clear illustration and an easy comparison. Couldn't we just do that? You have to switch between two comparisons in revision history. Shouted at you? I have only ever been polite in writing and blocking you wasn't out of anger. I think it safe to say that your current idea was not well accepted, the Doctor's TARDIS was improved by CzechOut additions, only for your good-self to remove them.
