Lake Silencio was located in Utah. On 22nd April, 2011, the Doctor, Amy Pond, River Song, and Rory Williams picnicked there. During the picnic a figure in a vintage space suit from the Apollo program emerged from the lake and shot the Doctor, killing him. (DW: The Impossible Astronaut, Let's Kill Hitler)
