Devil's End was a village where the Devil's Hump, a barrow mound which held Azal's spaceship, was located.

In the seventeenth century Matthew Hopkins, the Witchfinder-General exposed a coven of witches in the village, and they were burned at the stake.

In the early 19th century, Lord Aldbourne and his followers played at devil worship in the cavern beneath the church at Devil's End. In the 20th century, the cavern was converted into a museum of witchcraft. (EDA: The Eight Doctors)
