Character Options series 4 action figures

Character Options manufactured Doctor Who action figures in the 5" scale which tied into the 2008 series of Doctor Who. The series began with some additional figures from Voyage of the Damned that had not been included in the series 3 releases. Though the line did not include representations of every character in the series, it did incorporate many of them, as detailed below.

As was customary for Character Options, the figures were not actually 5" tall. Instead the Dalek figure was 5" tall, and all others were scaled to match. All other figures are scaled to match it.

Figures were often released in batches, referred to as "Waves". Thus, a figure might be said to be in "Wave 1", "Wave 2", or the like.

Peculiar to this series, eleven figures were released separately as a "Collect-and-build" figure, with all the component parts contributing to an 8" mounted Vespiform. A number of the figures in this series were also made available as a boxed character set without the Vespiform build.

Astrid Peth
