Lynda Baron (born 24 March 1942) played Captain Wrack in the Doctor Who serial Enlightenment and Val in Closing Time. Years earlier, in 1966, Baron recorded the original song "The Ballad of the Last Chance Saloon" for the soundtrack of the serial, The Gunfighters. She had two stints in the BBC show EastEnders.
