Time, Love and TARDIS was a Brief Encounter short story that was printed in DWM 189.
Summary
While the Doctor is talking with a Time Lord, his TARDIS and the replacement TARDIS have a telepathic conversation about whether Time Lords love their TARDISes. The Doctor's TARDIS believes her master loves her, but the replacement TARDIS isn't so sure. However, although the Doctor is offered the replacement TARDIS, he decides to keep his own TARDIS – apparently confirming what she has believed.
Characters
- The Doctor's TARDIS
- The replacement TARDIS
- The Doctor (incarnation unspecified)
- an unnamed Time Lord

Notes
- Paul Vyse's illustration is so large that the TARDISes are partially obscured by the text.
- The replacement TARDIS is in the form of a plain white column.

Timeline
- Nothing here indicates which incarnation of the Doctor is present. The conversation between TARDISes indicates he has travelled with his TARDIS for some time, her chameleon circuit is broken, and the Time Lords want him to use a newer model so he is of more use to them. At earliest, this could be the Second Doctor during Season 6B.
- In this case, this story would be set in between ST: That Time I Nearly Destroyed the World Whilst Looking for a Dress and ST: Mother's Little Helper.
