1898

1898 was a relatively important year for the community of Maiden's Point. ON 12 January, Florence Sundvik died in the village. On 4 March, Mary Eliza Millington, a relative of Commander Millington, was born in Maiden's Point. She died thirteen days later. (DW: The Curse of Fenric)

At unknown times in 1898, Richard Harries conducted experiments in telepathy and was killed. His sister, Catherine Harries, began killing the witnesses. (EDA: The Banquo Legacy) Also, H. G. Wells published his novel The War of the Worlds, which would later be adapted by the actor and writer Orson Welles as a panic-inducing radio play on 30 October 1938.
