Nicky Newman was a superstar on earth, but suffered from severe stage fright. The terrorist Loozly used this to his advantage, planting an Angvian personal destroyer, which detonated under severe stress.
Nicky was delighted that The Doctor and Melanie Bush didn't know who he was. This comforted him when his stage fright got the worst of him. (BFA:Bang-Bang-A-Boom!)
