Melissa Heart, also known as The Painted Lady, was a guest at the party hosted by Sir George Harding. She was late for dinner and also left early.

The Doctor had misplaced his leather jacket, which was brought back the next day by Melissa. It was obvious that she had taken it and had rummaged through the pockets and discovered the 'magical wand'. The Doctor took this to be an invitation to see her and went with Rose to her residence. There they were met by Melissa's accomplices, two Clockwork Robots. She ordered them to attack the Time Lord. (NSA: The Clockwise Man)
