Brodie was angry when the Butler Institute began tearing down the woods to construct a project site. He tried to smash one of the site's security camera with a rock. He ran away when he missed and met the Seventh Doctor, who helped him make a slingshot and gave him advice on using it. Brodie's next attempt succeeded.
