Annette Badland (born 1950 in Edgbaston, Birmingham) played Margaret Blaine, aka Blon Slitheen, in the Doctor Who stories Aliens of London, World War Three and Boom Town.

Her dramatic training took place at East 15 Acting School, London. She has appeared in many television roles including Bergerac (1981-1984), 2point4 children, Jackanory, The Demon Headmaster, The Worst Witch, The Queen's Nose, Coronation Street and Russell T Davies and Phil Ford-created Wizards vs Aliens.

She has also appeared in many films including Jabberwocky (1977) and most recently Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).
