Which is plainly wrong. I can immediately name [[George Harrison]] and [[John Lennon]] who are in a similar situation. People die. It's not noteworthy. Encountered article and found this:

We've whole categories devoted to people in this situation. See Category:Actors who played themselves, just for a start. Also: Real world people who appeared in archive footage.
