The TARDIS kitchen was a kitchen in the Doctor's TARDIS. The food machine was usually located there, (PROSE: The Room With No Doors) although it was known to "wander" the corridors. (PROSE: Christmas on a Rational Planet) Food machines quickly became obsolete in TARDISes, and were replaced by full kitchens. (TV: Shada, WC: Shada)

Sam Jones told the Doctor's other companion Fitz Kreiner that the TARDIS didn't have a kitchen, just a food machine. Fitz, who preferred making meals himself, found a kitchen, but wasn't sure whether Sam simply hadn't known about it, or if it had been created for him. (PROSE: Autumn Mist)

By the time of the Eleventh Doctor, his ship did include a full kitchen, and he pointed out its location in the TARDIS to Captain Henry Avery. (TV: The Curse of the Black Spot) Clara Oswin Oswald later asked him whether or not the TARDIS had a kitchen, where she wished to bake soufflés. The Eleventh Doctor claimed this to be the first time he was asked this. (TV: The Snowmen)
