Clement (The Council of Nicaea) was an ally of Arius. A fishmonger, he provided secret lodgings for the contentious Christian leader in Nicaea. Against Arius' wishes, he killed a man in defence of Arius' ideas. He also physically defended Erimem against Constantine's guards, and was briefly thought killed for his troubles.
