Eleanor Dare was a settler of Roanoke. She was taken by the Children of Croatoan, and told Henry Gordon Jago about them. She was John White's daughter. In her fathers absence the colony became ill and she was taken by the children. She called her captor, Virginia. When Wanchese negated the creation of the Children, she didn't die as the native Americans moved the colony to Croatoan, where she bore the first child born in America Virginia Dare.
