Andrew Marr (TV:Aliens of London

Andrew Marr was a BBC journalist who reported on events at 10 Downing Street when, unknown to the press, it was infiltrated by the Slitheen family. (TV: Aliens of London/World War Three)

Behind the scenes

Andrew Marr, who played himself in the series, was the editor of The Independent for two years, until May 1998, and was the political editor for the BBC from 2000 until 2005. He began hosting a new political programme on Sunday mornings on BBC One in September 2005.
