Acanthus was the employer of Bernice Summerfield when she came to Atlantis. He called Benny a winged goddess, in the story he told. He had a romantic turn of phrase. He found some winged horses to allow Benny to scale the bronze walls. He later disappeared after the Kraken's defeat.
