Coming across a slightly more barren area of the garden, and the Doctor thinks to repair the sprinkler system, hoping the robots will malfunction or rust but the robots however are water proof and unaffected. Just as the Doctor and Clara are about to be poisoned, the robots realise that the sprinkler system has been fixed, bringing life to a barren patch, therefore the new arrivals are a helpful presence in the garden so are not weeds!

Just as they are about to kill the Doctor and Clara, though, one of the others has a sudden revelation: they fixed the sprinkler system, bringing life, therefore they are a ''good'' force in the garden, not pests.
Now regarded as honoured guests, the Doctor and Clara are given a guided tour of the garden, with the Doctor wishing he could somehow turn the sprinklers off for their tour!
 
The two are thanked for their services, and are given a full tour of the garden. It's now that the Doctor regrets fixing the sprinkler... because he's soaking wet, and can't turn it off!

Gnome Guard is a Doctor Who Adventures comic strip published in 2013.
