Gerald Flood (born on 21 April 1927 Portsmouth, Hampshire; died on 12th April April 1989) played both King John and provided the voice of Kamelion in The King's Demons. Technical problems with the Kamelion robotic prop made it not possible for Gerald Flood to appear regularly on Doctor Who as a voice actor for the character. However, he did reprise the role in Planet of Fire and for a cameo in The Caves of Androzani.
