Doctor Who Universe
- Jack Harkness drops by Powell Estate a few times, as Rose Tyler grows up. He does not dare do more for fear of creating time paradoxes. (DW: Utopia)
Real World
- Doctor Who the series remains on hiatus. 1996 sees the airing of Doctor Who, a television movie introducing Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor (with a substantial role by Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor).
- The begining of the New Adventures, followed by the Missing Adventures novels series. After those lines end, the Eighth Doctor, Past Doctor and Bernice Summerfield New Adventures replace them.
