Conscience was the police force for Light City. The proles called them when a law was broken, for example they took a Male Prole away for asking a question. They had inferior personnel called Sub-Conscience who helped them. They could access the infotainment schedule. The Editor wanted to check if he had been affected by the Male Prole. They interrogated a Nurse. They started to suspect the editor.
